Residents of the Kusar, Dol, Petershan, Lipvec, Raça, Mogliza of the Gjakova municipality today protested in the vicinity of the Kusar Cave against the destruction of forests by the stonebreakers.
They said the Kusar and the Posttrick Brits are protected areas of nature, but illegal explosives have begun digging mountains to disaster
In this regard, the Gjakova municipality has also reacted that went against the stonebreakers in the village of Kusar.
Gjakova Mayor Ardian Gjini said he too is concerned about dealing with the area around the Cosars Cave.
Djindin said it has been addressed at official request to the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, Environment Minister and Spatial Planning, the Agency for Protection of the Environment of Kosovo, as well as Prime Minister Haradinaj over the ban on the explosion and collapse of the limestone stone in the village of Kusar.
The Gjakova municipality practically does not give permission for such activities, and through that letter we have requested that that that permit be revised which has occurred without my knowledge. This year's municipality envisions investing in the area and turning it into tourist spots. We have tendered and built paths for the opening of caves in the village of Kusar, also in co-operation with the Ministry of Infrastructure we are building the way to the Kunorra Ma, another tourist area of the Gjakova municipality”, Djind said.
