Henrik Makkitaryan of Arsenal has decided not to travel due to the ongoing conflict his state, Armenia, has with Azerbaijan, broadcast Periscopi.
U n EFA insisted that the 30-year-old would be safe, but the treatment of fans in Baku suggests something else.
On Tuesday, images of fans wearing Mkhitaryan fans were published, stopping by the police as they walked on the road.
“The Times” reporter Henry Winder published a photo of an Arsenal fan who was covered with a club flag to remove it to look at the name behind the lantern.
“Are you looking for Makkitaryan?” he asked. The answer was yes.
