Minister Shala: Time for Kosovo export problems in northern Macedonia to be eliminated

Trade and Industry Minister Andrew Shala has held a meeting with Ambassadorship of the Republic of Northern Macedonia in Kosovo Ambassador Rexhep Saliu, where relations between the two states and trade exchanges were discussed.

Minister Marda announced the ambassador for business complaints on both sides, and also for barriers Kosovo businesses have during exports to northern Macedonia.

“Morpa pledged by the ambassador that these non-tariff barriers with northern Macedonia be eliminated as soon as possible. I am focused on helping local businesses address their problems, and the goal of the Ministry of Trade and Industry is for the presence of Kosovo products to increase in the countries of the region and beyond, directly impacting the increased export of our products”, said Minister Shala.

While, Ambassador Saliu's task officer expressed readiness to discuss finding modalities between Kosovo and Northern Macedonia to eliminate barriers.
