Minister Shala said today is a very important day, because for the first time, the Government of the Republic of Kosovo is taking the first step towards bringing investors from the diaspora, with concrete work.

The way our country has contributed to the economic and social welfare for decades, just as they have contributed to Kosovo's liberation, it is now time for businesses from the diaspora to contribute to economic development as well. It is the first time the Government of Kosovo has offered concrete opportunities to representatives of diaspora businesses for investments in Kosovo. This is only the first step, and according to business requirements we will offer other facilities in order for our country's economic development to take together”, said Minister Shala.

According to him, the diaspora has an undeniable role in building Kosovo for decades, and if it were not for the diaspora, even today Kosovo would not be like this.

“Thank you eternally for what you have done for Kosovo. But now is the time that the Government of your country, to create conditions for your capital to invest in Kosovo, affecting economic growth and job creation”, Shala said.

Minister Shala announced that the MTI will be the address of diaspora business concerns at any time they need.

The Ministry of Trade and Industry will be your 365-day year address to address your concerns, if you have them, and we will work hard for diaspora businesses to have conditions and opportunities to work in Kosovo”, Minister Shala said.

The purpose of this Co-operation Agreement is to realise the “Economic Park for Business project by the Diaspora in Malisheve” and the Ministry of Trade and Industry vows that the Economic Park property will be given to investors from Diaspora, the surface in the first phase of 15 hectares, with growth in 40 hectare, for 99 years.

MTI pledges to finance infrastructure construction in Economic Park.
