Kosovo paid over 900,000 euros to Serbs who never worked a day

For these 18 workers for whom there is no evidence that they have ever appeared on the job, the state of Kosovo has paid exactly 92 thousand and 336 euros in wages and wages.

For 18 Serbs who did not appear at the workplace, 92 thousand and 336 euros have been paid, Periscopi writes.
The audit office has concluded that the ministry had not tried enough to engage these workers, even though it is clear that they have not respected the contract.
“This situation has come as a result of failing to respect the contract unilaterally on the part of workers and the ministry's insufficient efforts to engage” is said in an audit report for the Ministry of Economic Development.
According to this report, the payment made for these workers causes budget damage, but on the other hand, neither is the goal achieved, so the integration of this community into the system of the Republic of Kosovo.
The National Auditing Office has proposed that the Minister, Valdrin Luka, examine the reasons these workers have for not coming to work and solve their problem, or cut their payments.
