Sociologist Arianni Behrami has said that in Kosovo, despite many changes, society has managed to preserve its livelihood.
In a statement to Telegrafi, Behram has stressed that the history of Kosovo families is painful.
“Family is considered a fundamental unit of society, and as a closer definition, we can say that family is a community of people living together. From this point on, we can say that even in us, our society, despite the many social changes, has achieved a great deal of maintaining its capacity. The story of our family, in our society, is very painful because we have every time faced the conqueror and the many rulers who have prevented our society's unification, have oppressed man and family by denying basic rights, and in this case it has strengthened the emotional ties and families to stay as united as they can help each other, towards one goal, or the goal that was freedom”, he said.
According to him, Kosovo society still considers the family a sacred institution based on several factors.
After the war ended, since social circumstances have changed more or less. The trend of modernism, though late in Kosovo, has affected Kosovo society. Yet, our family arrangement is considered sacred, and families remain united. Now under these circumstances, all of this comes as a result of dealing with multiple factors, mainly economic and social factors”, he stressed.
Among other things, Behram has said the Kosovo family faces a host of problems.
The “in the first place are social and economic problems. Unemployment and lack of prosperity are among the main problems that distract the Kosovo family. High problems mentioned in many ways affect sociologist prism, including divorce, resulting in very stressful situations for all family members who experience it. The problem remains that of divorced children who, toward children of other families, lead a more stressed life”, have declared, adding that problems in the family reflect on society, which, according to him, causes different social backgrounds to appear.
