A giant single - moon asteroid is expected to pass by the earth during this weekend, traveling 770 thousand miles per hour. The heavenly stone, known as the 1999 KW4 asteroid, was discovered 20 years ago and is so large that the moon is available in its orbit.

Saturday evening, 1999 KW4 will be approaching land. It will be visible on May 27th, broadcast Periscope from CBS.

Because there's a moon of its own, the asteroid is technically defined as a binary system.

The binary system is defined when two celestial objects are located in each other's orbit, according to NASA.

This asteroid was first discovered by Lincoln Laboror in Socoro, New Mexico. /Periscope
