Duel for the world champion title in the heavy weight between Anthony Joshua and Jarrell Miller, first to take place on June 1st at “Madison Square Garden” in New York, is in doubt.
The invincible American boxer Jarrell Miller (23 points to 1 draw) has proved positive during an antidoping test with the PED substance.
The news is confirmed today by Eddie Hearn, Joshua's manager.
A routine urine test carried out on March 20th has “captured mat” the American boxer, undermining the two boxer's plans.
“We have been informed by the WAA there have been irregularities in the test conducted at Miller on March 20th. We're working with all sides to get as much information as possible and to find a solution. Joshua is continuing his preparations for the June 1st” duel, Eddie Hearn said.
This situation has taken everyone by surprise, since there is no major free fighter at that time to replace Miller if he is suspended.
Wilder will duel on 15 May, and Fury on June 18th. Joshua, 21 victories and no losses in the ring, will on 1 June protect world champion titles in heavy weight in the IBF, WBA and WHO.
