In this spring in Kosovo, 110 thousand hectares have been planted, jobs have begun

The spring sowing process has already begun throughout Kosovo. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, some 110 thousand hectares of land are planned this year to be planted with spring agricultural cultures. Agriculture experts order farmers who plant crops to perform within optimum terms and feed them with the necessary amount of artificial waste.

Although there was much damage and little gain last year, Dashmir Duraku, of the Great Krusha of Rahovec, will also work his land this year. He confessing the damages of last year, for which he has not yet been compensated, tells Radio Kosovo that even this spring he will plant several hectares with different agricultural cultures.

A hectare that we had planted with peppers, the floods had broken us. 50 gold we had with potatoes. We've had a lot of damage last year, once by floods and then even from the disease of the dot. We had nothing to harvest or sell. But, there's something, we still have to start working. We plan three acres of peppers planted, a hectare of potatoes, cabbage, and others”, he said.

In the Ministry of Agriculture, preparations for spring sowing are going well. According to Isuf Cikaqi, director of the Department of Agriculture Policy in this ministry, this year with spring agricultural culture, over 100,000 hectares are expected to be planted.

There are some 110 thousand hectares planned to be planted with all spring cultures. Perhaps this area will grow because they are left unplanted in the autumn with large grain. It dominates the corn - planted area, with which some 70-80 thousand acres will be planted. Then the potato culture, with 6-8 thousand hectares and vegetables around 15 thousand hectares of”, Cikaqi said.

University professor Shukri Fetah recommends to farmers that the spring crops take place within optimum terms, while ordering them to feed on needed artificial garbage.

To help develop and grow plants, farmers should immediately feed the plant with spring or azotic refuse. This gives power to the essential energy of plants. The ministry of agriculture has for years shared subsidies for various agricultural cultures. According to the ministry, this has influenced the area of the hard land to rise. However, for this year no call for subsidies has been opened.
