US Secretary of Homeland Security Kristen Nielsen resigns

US Secretary of Homeland Security Kirsten Nielsen, who implemented some of President Donald Trump's conflicting policies regarding borders, has resigned. President Trump wrote that it would be temporarily replaced by Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Kevin McAlean.
Nielsen was responsible for implementing the proposed policy on the border wall and dividing the migration families.
She gave no reason for her departure in her letter of resignation, however, she said it was the “the right time to leave” and said the US is safer than when it became part of the administration.
