We are currently in the phase of drafting the concept-Document for the Social Assistance Squema. MPMS has already established the working Group for drafting this document concept from which the New Law for Social Assistance Schema will be derived, and this criterion will be eliminated, as well as many other criteria that are discriminatory”, the minister said.
Recica said that she takes into account recommendations from local institutions and various international organisations that some of the criteria involved in the current Social Assistance Centre legislation are discriminatory, as is the criteria of age 5 that exclude many poor families from the Social Assistance Scheme, MPMS in 2018 has initiated some reforms in the area of social welfare and pensions, while during 2019 it continued to reform the Social Assistance Centre.
