Police in Ferizaj warn legal measures against firefighters

Police through a communique have said that based on previous experiences, but even in current circumstances, as a result of the human factor's negligence, there are many cases of fires in the area of responsibility of DDRP Ferizaj.

For this purpose, police commitment, aimed at prevention, respectively, to increase security measures as a preventative measure from risk-fire. As we know from past years, the effects of fires are multiple, such as forest damage and the destruction or burning of various assets”.

“These are just some of the reasons the Kosovo Police have urged the action to take, aimed at preventing the spread of fires. We think this commitment will positively influence the opinion (citizens) to reduce or eliminate the risk of deliberately set fires or carelessness. Therefore, we appeal to citizens to be careful and not to light the grasses for cleaning up the fields, as well as to take into account the extinguishing of fires before leaving the site, said the communique.

Police related to this problem, police are currently working and investigating these cases, which are also sanctioned by law.

“Among the people for whom this illegal act is documented will take over all previous legal measures. In all of this, assistance and co-operation is necessary, first of all, citizens, relevant institutions, then media and different NGOs, as well as village representatives etc.”, said in the communiqué.
