Tahiri has written that although he is not well with finance, he is doing so as a sign of thanks to France and the assistance they offered in Kosovo during wartime, including his family.
He said that to help someone, we must remember the hard days, because even though we have no war today, we can have it again.

For Notre Dame from my salary!
Even though I'm not with finance the way I was, remembering I didn't work outside Kosovo until I handed in my passports!
Again, I'm very willing to give of myself, like a son of a mother and son of a father, when they were in serious condition together with daughter Andwen and son Milot during the war! Never forgetting, dear France, and the city of Amiené, provided them with food, safety, and all good things they had until the days they returned to free Kosovo.
As a new citizen of this country, humanitarian, singers, and now deputy elected by the hands of 20 thousand young men and women in the Kosovo Parliament, I want to separate from my monthly salary, 1,000 euros for the case of Notre Dame!
