Kosovo imported goods worth 886.8m euros during 2018

The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (BQK) has announced that the value of importing goods in TM4 2018 was 886.8m euros, which is for 6.8 per cent higher compared to TM4 2017. <x1
The highest “Ration was recorded in the import of mineral products, textiles and textile articles, basic metals, machinery and mechanical devices. The balance in service trade marked the value of 71.1m euros in TM4 2018, a 4.9 per cent drop compared to TM4 2017. The value of the total exported services marks annual growth of 9.4 per cent, reaching 219.7m euros, while the value of imported services marked an increase of 18.0 per cent and reached 148.6m euros”, reports RTKlive.
According to the CEC under the export of services, other business services marked the highest growth of 23.8 per cent, while travel services, which make up the main export category (54.3 per cent of total export of services at TM4 2018), scored 3.8 per cent.
“Even import services, other business services marked the highest growth (47.2 percent), followed by pension and security services (21.0 percent), while travel services and maintenance and repair services marked drop (3.4 percent, respectively.4 percent). The primary income account balance, at TM4 2018, marks the value of 50.1m euros, which represents a 34.3 per cent drop. The secondary income balance marks an increase of 2.1 percent, attributed mainly to the highest level of remittances. Recognitions accepted in Kosovo, which simultaneously present the largest category in terms of the secondary income account, marked the value of 212.5m euros at TM4 2018, or 3.6 per cent more compared to TM4 (2017x1>, the CEC report said. /
