Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has been hosting Germany's ambassador to our country, Christian Heldt, with whom he has discussed recent developments.
Kosovo's chief of executive says Kosovo has fulfilled all criteria for visa liberalisation, has noted considerable progress in the areas of security, order and law, and is committed to advancing with bilateral reports with Germany and is always ready for good relations with all neighbouring countries.
“I had the pleasure of sharing with Ambassador Heldt the last real migration statistics, where Kosovo clearly shows that it is no threat to migration, marking the smallest trend over the years with only 723 cases of migration requirements in 2018<18x1>, Haradinaj said.
He said that compared to 2015, where migration figures pointed to 67,545 persons who migrated, 2018 with only 723 cases, clearly indicate a drop of 98% -- the result that proves the dedication of Kosovo citizens -- to respect Kosovo's state first and also to respect the basic principles of free movement.
