Telecom Chief Executive Chief Bans New Employments, Says Company to Resume

Chief Chief Chief Chief Istrefi has explained about Online Economy that the decisions that have come into force today will affect the high positions, as the entire structure of degrees “with temporary effect and until the improvement of the corporate financial situation”, as well as to employees, as early retirements are expected.

Among the measures will be halting new employment, cutting advertising space contracts, lowering rent expenditures and reducing the use of official cars.

Istrefi has said he has made these decisions by acting under his authorisations as chief executive chief, based on authorisations defined in the array of KK's authorisations related to the process of the exit strategy approved by the Board of Directors.

The Executive Management also decided immediately to shut down all employment, as well as to prevent all intermediations that have financial effects and are increasingly expressed by employed degrees”.

The next decision is to cut advertising space contracts. The Executive Management requested that the Marketing Department immediately compile a list of the current advertising contracts in which contracting contract options and contractual rights would immediately be submitted to the announcement of their secession, normally where we have legal grounds, and we have estimated that we could be able even without those” contracts.

The seventh decision is to limit the use of official cars.

I've made the decision that all employees and officials, cars they use in Kosovo Telekom, except the Department of Sales and Operations, where the share of the technical department needs cars because we have certain interventions in rural areas for PTS interventions, for trouble, problems that can happen in those” areas, Istrefi explains.

The chief of Telekom, who took this post on February 22nd, says he has asked the Department of Finance, Marketing and Human Resources to prepare financial reports on the expected financial implications that can be reflected by decisions made by the executive management.

Decisions must be made and formal support by the Board at the meeting this Friday, March 29.
