Secretary Halimi receives World Bank support for agriculture development in Kosovo

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, Kapllan Halimi, along with Chief Executive Chief of Agriculture Development, Ekrem Gjonaj, during the official visit to Washington, are participating in the World Bank Conference on Earth and Poverty, in which the latest research and innovations are presented in earth's policies and good governance practices worldwide.
Under this visit, Secretary Halimi has met with World Bank Senior Director Juergen Voege, with whom they have discussed concrete steps that can be taken in the near future, with the aim of greater development of the agriculture sector in Kosovo, and for which the World Bank will offer its support.
During this meeting, Halimi has announced it for the achievements and challenges of agriculture in Kosovo, praising it as one of the sectors that has influenced and can affect even more employment and economic development. He has also thanked the WB for providing support for agriculture in Kosovo through the Agriculture and Rural Development Project.
On the other hand, director Juergen Voegele has reconfirmed the WB's readiness to continue supporting the agriculture sector, praising those achieved in the sector.
