The display “European Stratography and Albanian territories”, collection by Africa Ethem.
The exhibition has taken part, and Culture, Youth and Sports Minister Cameron Gashi, who named it a special exhibition from which he teaches the history of the Albanian people.
According to him, such exhibitions are not often seen, since such maps are rarely found.
This presents an interest in reflecting the Albanian people a real legacy”, said Minister Gashi.
This exhibition was held in collaboration with the Faculty of Philosophy, and dean Bujar Dugolli said such maps are wealth for our own people.
“These maps are a valuable carpographic source showing how Albania was viewed in Europe. These maps are an asset, and it's lucky we have”, he said.
And, the author of this exhibition, Africa Hetem, said among emotions that through this exhibition of these maps, the opportunity is presented to see where and how we were in the past and where we will be in the future as Albanian people.
It was a simple job, but I have a passion to have something close to myself, to have some memories in the past. Through these maps comes the existence of the past, with this I offer others an opportunity to present who we were and who we are”, he said.
