LDK parliamentary group chief Avdullah Hoti, through a Facebook post, has announced that the LDK Council of Experts, in the two-day workshop for the LDK Government Programme for the Coming Government, in the field of national protection, has estimated that military service in Kosovo is binding, according to the model of small countries such as Switzerland and other countries.
Hoti has stressed that such a move would guarantee effective national protection, would enhance the physical and professional skills of youth, as well as the Kosovo Army would enable it to rank beside the armies of our partners in NATO.
This measure guarantees effective national protection, increases the physical and professional capabilities of youth, and enables the Kosovo Army to rank beside the armies of our partners in NATO. For a period of several years, young people will serve for several months in military service, with secession, based on the needs of young people for education, employment, and family”, Hoti wrote.
Also, Hoti has said this is one of the main measures of the LDK Government Programme in the field of national defence and security, according to the model and pro-active approach already implemented in the world's most advanced countries.
The LDK's “Program will maximize the priorities and possibilities of the Republic of Kosovo in the field of defence and security”, Hoti has indicated.
The process of preparing the new LDK programme will be comprehensive, with the participation of all experts in the LDK contributing for three decades to the construction of the state of Kosovo, as well as include the expertise of the best Framework Kosovo”, it concluded.
