The Office for Kosovo in Serbia's Government said Vesna Mikki's dismissal from the post of deputy justice minister in Kosovo “is another proof that (Kosovo prime minister) Ramush Haradinaj needs cautious and obedient Serbs”.
Kosovo Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj, announced on Monday that he has freed Justice Deputy Minister Mikik from office., which comes from the ranks of the Serbian List political subject.
Haradinaj said this decision was made after Mikic said NATO bombings on the limits of the former Yugoslavia were genocide against the state and the Serbian people.
In the response of the Office for Kosovo in Serbia government, Mikic said, “calling aggression against the Serbian people genocide and Albanian separatist terrorists”, she “has expressed the thought that prevails among the Serbian people”.
“Haradinaj and his associates could also set up dozens of monuments to aggressors and terrorists, but the Serbian people will not be forced to respect those who have hurt”, says the response broadcast by the Balkan Radio Free Europe Service.
Mikki's dismissal also condemned her political subject, the Serbian List.
According to Prime Minister Haradinaj, Mikki's statements are unacceptable “and correspond to hate language”.
Haradinaj said Mikic made comments at the Ministry of Justice.
In 1999, the NATO alliance bombed the Serbian Army's limits to ending the war in Kosovo.
The attacks lasted 78 days, while the 20th anniversary of their departure was marked Sunday.
