The head of the EU Delegation to Serbia, Sam Fabrizi, said today he remains optimistic when it comes to reaching an agreement between Belgrade and Pristina, and stressed that there is no alternative for dialogue and that the status quo is not an option.
“I don't think there is an opportunity to preserve this situation, status-quo is not an option, it doesn't help either Serbia or Pristina. It is necessary for dialogue to continue and reach an agreement,” said Fabrizi in Belgrade.
Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, with EU mediation, has been interrupted as the Serbian side conditions the continuation of the process with the removal of the fee on Serbian goods.
Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has repeated several times that dialogue will continue at the moment when Serbia recognises the state of Kosovo.
