Authorities said the accused have backed the ideas of the Islamic State and have conducted training in Egypt and abroad for carrying out this attack.
Twenty people charged did not react to the court's proclamation of condemnation, nor have lawyers commented on the justice bodies' decision. Ten others are on the run and sentenced in absentia.
The church attack had not happened. However, the Christian minority has faced a series of attacks on Alexandria and other parts of Egypt in recent years.
The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the suicide attacks in the churches of Alexandria and Tantas in April 2017, in which 45 people were left dead, writes “Reuters”
