Among those arrested, 16 are Albanians, some of whom live in Leche, a Turk and three Italians from Salento.
The three arrested Italians are, respectively, Marco Franzhini, 44, Fabio Marzano, 50, and Salvatore Giovanni Pacifico, 52.
According to investigation documents, which begin in 2014, Marzano and Franzhini are part of an international heroin and marijuana trafficking organisation that has operated not only in Italy but also in Albania, Turkey and the Netherlands.
They distributed drugs in Leche, Saleno, Lazio, Lombardia, and Emily Romagna.
In particular, according to the investigation, Turkish citizen Hizir Civil,77, based in Brindisi, cared for contacts with suppliers in Turkey to make the transfer of drugs to Italy. Albanian Ermir Daci, 47, was considered a organisational reference point in Lombardi, airs the Oranews. He distributed Turkey's heroin coming through the Adriatic to Saronno with his associates.
The investigation began when Italian Marzano was caught in his car on September 18, 2014, transporting more than 1kg of heroin.
For investigators, it was only a part of the drug that arrived at the port of Ancona eight months earlier through a car from Turkey.
While Pacific is accused of carrying 53kg of marijuana, as well as weapons and ammunition, being sentenced to about 5 years in prison, Italian media write.
In addition, to justice, Albanians Leonardo Aliu, 41fhech, Engjelshe Arapi, 57, Hasan Bibi, 34, who was earlier expelled from Italy, are expected to appear.
Also, part of the group are Albanians Auro Dula, 40, Gentian Dule, 33, Piro Hyskaj, 60, all three of the Vlora with us living in Leche, Gentian Katrili named “x1>, 44-year-old from Durres, with residence in Leche, Grezim Kritha, known to “G><3des>, 50, by Vlora, Abil Jaupi, known as <x> <445hmet>, <6dir <6dir>, <6th>, <Khar>, <x8x, 51Hrab> Revaled Lika, 36, from Vlora, Isaac Muhamet, 29, from Vlora, Güne Spond or Gentian Vanna, 41, from Vlora, Jorg Naci, named “Mili”, 42, and Dario Profka, 29, from Vlora, but with residence in Leche.
