The charges stemmed from an investigation that began whether Trump's campaign staff had collaborated with Russia to win the 2016 elections.
Manafort, except it will pay $24m in compensation for the damage it has done to the state, will also pay a $505,000 fine, Kosova Prees follows.
The 69-year-old addressed the court Thursday evening in Alexandria, Virginia, while declaring “the last two years have been the most difficult of my life”.
