According to the Belgian media report, the Court of Criminals at Antwerp has ruled to close the slaughterhouse “Vanlommel”, as well as suspension of two drivers from this company.
Officials of this slaughterhouse have declared before the court that this was a human error and that the meat was dedicated to the animal food industry.
The Belgian prosecution had demanded that the head of the slaughterhouse be punished by 4 thousand euros in fines, meanwhile, the company at 20 thousand euros.
However, the Court has decided to close the same.
