The 164th meeting of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, which its Chief Chairman Bahri Hyseni has led, focused the review and discussion on a series of important issues for the prosecutorial system.
Following the presentation of the Commission's report, appointed by the KKP for the selection of the Special Prosecutor's Representative of the Republic of Kosovo in KPK, the oath of a new KPK member -- prosecutor Merita Bina Rugova, elected by the Special Prosecutorship of the Republic of Kosovo.
Following the meeting was adopted the strategic plan of the 2019-2021 prosecutorial system, which has been presented by the director of the KKP Secretariat, Gurim Krasniqi. This plan focuses on improving efficiency, integrity, accountability and transparency of the prosecutorial system through the company of specific measures that are detailed in specific objectives and action plan.
The annual Report for 2018 of the Commission for the Implementation of the Strategic Plan and the Action Plan for Combating Corruption and Economic Crime, which the prosecutor introduced to the Office of State Chief Prosecutor Laura Pula, has also been adopted.
The regulation of the administration and division of the subjects in the State Prosecutor has also been adopted with several recommendations by Council members, who was presented by the chairman of the Commission for Standard Affairs, prosecutor Zejnullah Gashi, which defines the legal way of separation of subjects after the launch of full implementation of the SMIL electronic system.
Also, following this meeting are various requests related to the prosecutors' performance assessment.
At the end of the meeting, KPK leader Bahri Hyseni has announced members of the Council for the signing of two memorandums of understanding with the Kosovo Judiciary Council, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Labour and Social Management, and the Kosovo Police for functioning of the database for identifying cases of domestic violence and the Memorandum of Understanding with the Law Academy for Support of Professional Advancing and Enhancing Training Programmes for the Prosecutorial System. /Born.info
