This has prompted some human rights activists to modify the logo, as a sign of dissatisfaction.
With the idea of Teuta Hoxha Jahaj, designer Isuf Shala put the figure of the woman near the logo of the 11th anniversary.
Human rights activist Teuta Hoxha-Jahaj has said the actual logo is discriminatory.
“Ide for editing the logo came to me with the first official logo of the 11th anniversary of independence, the highly discriminated logo that does not represent equality in our society, with the very symbol of the man in it and the text, completely forgetting the work and honour that Kosovo women and girls are bringing to us, logic this extremely wrong logo selection”, Jahaj said of Kosova Pris.
She has said that as such the logo is unacceptable because she denies the work of women and girls in Kosovo society.
Once, through modified logo, activists have wanted to deliver another message to the government.
“Taking advantage of the most important events that marked him last year, through the modification of the logo I want to show, and I urge the government to promote the courage of girls and women who are publicly breaking the stigma and prejudices by publicly talking about their experiences during the war and the sexual violence that is happening to them daily. By breaking the silence and exposing the perpetrators, even within state institutions, they necessarily contribute to the call for strengthening justice and democratisation of institutions and society, which Kosovo needs most, 20 years after the war and 11 years after independence”, it has added.
