Reconfirmon Haradinaj: Kosovo border does not change

Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has called speculation the claims of German media “Frankfurter Rundschau” that partitioning between Kosovo and Serbia on ethnic lines is a deal supported by the United States and the European Union. He firmly said that there is no experiment with Kosovo's borders and warned that if a [...] one happens.

He firmly said that there are no experiments with Kosovo's borders and warned that if that happens, then there will be prosecutions for all who violate the Constitution.

“I've seen these articles, there are some that mean, I like the next article, the statement of Minister Heiko Mass, that Kosovo carried out reforms, those that are respected, I don't think other articles are important. So it's not the weight we need to take seriously... There are no such experiments on Kosovo, you need to understand that, there will be no experiments like this with borders or territories, no experiments. Kosovo is one, is February 17th. Our constitution only recognises one Kosovo -- anyone who discusses it -- is committing violations of both the Constitution and the legal constitution, and they will be prosecuted”, Haradinaj has declared.

The first executive also made it clear that Kosovo's current borders cannot be changed and that anything else about their change is just speculation.

Kosovo has borders with Serbia, with the entire border length, preserves the border on both sides. On one side by the Kosovo Police on the other on Serbia's side. NATO knows this border is marked, is the former administrative border of the former Yugoslavia, the constitution of the former Yugoslavia that the borders of the republics cannot be changed without the agreement of the two sides, on the plain of the provinces, and also without the approval of the Parliament. Kosovo-Serbia administrative border, is the same limit it has claimed responsibility for NATO, in 99, which we inherited with our declaration of independent, sovereign state... Based on these, all the others are speculation”, Haradinaj has said.

While it has been rumoured that the agreement between Kosovo and Serbia will be signed in June, the chief executive has confirmed that an agreement will be possible, but without changing the current borders.
