Pantina shows PSDA's other goals after meeting two conditions

The MP from the Social Democrat Party's ranks, Shqipe Pantina, has said that following the vote on the public sector's salary bill, they are aiming to equate the minimum wage in the private sector with that of the public sector. While voting the bill on public sector wages has considered victory. Pantina said that by law [...]

Pantina said that with the law voted for salaries in the private sector, no longer could be abused with the wage issue for the sector.

“If the law is not the best possible, there are several shortcomings, however, for the first time in Kosovo the issue of payment from the state budget for employees in the public sector is being regulated by law and it is not being left as it was before when each political subject and primarily those in power used the pretext, consciously raising wages as an instrument to trade by votes. From now on, this vehicle has been taken away from those parties that the dunes or have wanted to abuse with their monthly salary in the public sector”, she said.

She said the next victory considers reducing the gap between the highest pay in the public sector and the lowest.

The second “we consider is that although we haven't achieved the measure we wanted, however, we have reduced the difference between the highest pay in the public sector and the lowest one, now the gap is 1m e1 10 and not as it used to be 1 to 17. Our battle will not stop here, the next in the field in payments is for the minimum wage in the private sector to increase and at least equal to that of the public sector, which is 239 euros. We believe that during the day our other conditions will be met, such as the law of dialogue that is currently being discussed at session”, she said.
