Pacolli calls on European leaders: Keep Your Promise on Visas

Through a script at “Euractic”, Pacolli has confirmed that Kosovo has fulfilled all the criteria needed for visa liberalisation.
“Citizens of Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania can all travel to Europe without visas. My country, Kosovo, remains the only European democracy whose citizens are deprived of this right”.
We still face the shameful situation where there is a need to apply for visa (a process to consume time and it's expensive) just to take a vacation or visit relatives. The benefits of visa liberalisation are significant if the promotion of economic partnerships, promotion of inter-cultural contacts, improved professional and educational exchanges, as well as assistance for the prevention of traffickers, whose services will no longer be required by”.
He stressed that now is the right time for liberalisation and that the current situation is unfair.
“I am urging European leaders to confirm the positive recommendations made by the European Commission on July 18th of last year and approved by the EU Parliament, confirming that all requirements have been met. The only thing that remains is for the Council of Europe to approve the Commission's proposal to end the unjust treatment we've received”.
“Now is the time to do the right thing by rewarding these efforts. The promise given must be given”.
