This agreement has been initiated by the Ministry of Management and Local Power, with the goal of international municipal co-operation between two Kosovo municipalities and these two Arbrean municipalities, the KP reports.
Ministry of Management and Local Power Secretary Rosafe Uquimaj said this agreement will bring more opportunities for friendship, exchange of experiences and other areas of interest to the country.
The <x0-cynic initiative for such co-operation began several years ago, while we are very happy that this co-operation is being crowned today in the presence of delegations from Italy's municipalities on a very special day on the anniversary of Kosovo Independence. The importance of this co-operation between the two municipalities in Italy and Kosovo municipalities goes beyond a simple co-operation because it is characterised by an additional element connecting the two countries. Even because of the value of preserving language, culture, and ancient tradition, which for us in Kosovo these values reserve a very valuable place, because those values we cultivate every day and preserve and guarantee with the fundamental acts of our new state”, she said.
Of the two municipalities in Kosovo, she said they have completed all legal actions, as envisioned with legislation in effect.
The mayor of the French municipality, Angela Capatona, said this agreement is good for exchanging cultural experiences, while saying happy that the same is being signed just on Kosovo Independence Day.
The agreement we signed today gives us an opportunity to concreteize various cultural activities as well as the economy, which will benefit both countries. We're so glad this happened on a very important day like Independence Day. Independence is a seed, it's a cornerstone, for each country, which provides an opportunity for the country to develop. It is an opportunity that is given to people who think about the country to reach the highest point for each of us, which is happiness”, he has said.
