Took serious injuries at school, 14-year-old family says investigations into case are being neglected

The road to a career of professional footballer, for 14-year-old Lum Gashi, was hit June 2017.

With severe head injuries, he had ended up in CKUK, and for a few minutes, according to his family, he was clinically dead but has returned to life, KTV reports.

The accident was supposed to have occurred in the football field where he was practicing, when at one point he was caught for the horizontal bar of the gate, which had moved and hit the drop of the 12-year-old then.

But the happy Gashi can't remember that, and according to him, on that day they had not trained as usual, because of the birthday of one of his associates.

The cause of this injury has also gone through difficult experiences, especially in the period that the boy was recovering from injury and was being treated at the Maxilophial Surgery Clinic.

His father, a physics teacher, disputes the version that his son's injuries were caused by the collapse of the pillar.

KTV has even contacted football school owner “Eagles”, Bujar Abdullah, but the same one has refused to speak to the argument that he was not there when the accident occurred.

The bereaved family, since they suspect that the case has been neglected by the justice organs, as a damaged party has committed a lawyer, who feels there is not much time left for the investigation of the case.

On the other hand, Pristina Constitutional Prosecutorship, in the case they have said to have accepted a special report by police on June 13th 2017.

But the prosecutor, the case is only in January of this year, and so far, has interviewed 3 people in witness quality as well as family lawyer.

According to this response, other investigative actions have been warned by the Prosecutor until the case is clarified.
