After the president declared his pro-repression stance, since, according to him, this situation could derail reports with the United States of America, Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj says no one is a spokesman for America, so according to him they don't need to talk about them. This, the chief executive said after the meeting he had with the heads of institutions and the state delegation for talks with Serbia, where they gave the green light to the document drafted for dialogue.
The dialogue platform is voted today by the negotiating team, and tomorrow it is handed over to the Kosovo Assembly.
In the Kosovo Assembly they met this morning once again, President Hashim Thaci, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, Parliament Speaker Kadri Veselini and the state delegation for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.
The latter have received the reconciliation of leaders of the three institutions regarding the platform they have drafted for dialogue.
The first from the meeting is the prime minister. Asked about the president's statements that relations with the main ally are being jeopardised, the government chief said no one should speak in the name of America.
“America speaks for itself, neither the president, nor I anyone else is a spokesman for America, they don't need to talk about them, they talk about themselves, they know talk explain things”, he said.
After the meeting, Haradinaj said the topic was only platforms, and has not discussed the tax or other issues.
According to him, the platform is a stable document of the principles Kosovo has in dialogue and protects the country's Constitution.
The “Platform is a stable document, stems from the Constitution, protects the Constitution, is binding on any ethnicity, the process is imposed on constitutionality, I think it's a good guarantee for Kosovo platform, as is the delegation, I believe parliament has the opportunity to walk further and safely in this” process, he said.
He said he believes there will be consultations with opposition parties as well. According to him, if the Democratic League of Kosovo and the Vetevendosje do not participate directly in the delegation, they can make their contribution by supporting or giving opinions on the platform.
That the platform will get support from all political forces, the co-chairman of the state delegation for dialogue with Serbia, Fatmir Limaj, believes.
After the meeting, he confirmed that the platform took the final form and was voted in today at 3:00.
Limaj announced that tomorrow the document will be sent to the Kosovo Assembly.
The entire “is supported, there are two very important suggestions behind which we will incorporate, but it is generally supported. At three o'clock, the state delegation must approve the procedure, and tomorrow we will send it to the Kosovo Parliament... The platform represents unifying the position of state institutions and delegation in relation to Kosovo's position in the talks, or dialogue for recognition with Serbia. We hope that even the Kosovo Parliament with suggestions and debate will contribute to this platform and even Parliament will give the green light and thus we can now say that we eventually have an official position in all institutions of the Republic of Kosovo in relation to the dialogue for recognition with Serbia”, he said.
This compliance between the heads of institutions and the state delegation was achieved after many closed meetings, which the institutional leaders and the negotiating team held in recent days.
