But despite continued international demands for suspension of the tax, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj is continuing to pledge that the tax does not go down without a Kosovo recognition agreement from Serbia.
The Kosovo Government's decision to impose tax on products coming from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina has prompted reactions from many powerful states of the world, which are continuing to demand the removal or suspension of this fee. France has already requested it.
France's Embassy officials in Kosovo have told the newspaper “Voice” that their position on this issue is clear, that the measure on Serbian and Bosnian products must be suspended or left. Meanwhile, the United States of America (SHBA) is also constantly demanding a 100 percent suspension of the fee. As a result of the Government's equalisation against tax removal, the US has even started imposing sanctions on Kosovo.
