The Law on Salaries has been rejected by the Kosovo Civil Service Union, the Agency of Air Navigation Services (ASHNA), KEK unionists, COST and Telekom, who are dissatisfied with the restrictions they have been imposed on the Law on Salaries.
Otherwise, the Law on Salaries was passed in the Assembly on February 2nd, with 63 votes per and 1 abstention.
Kosovo Parliament Speaker Kadri Veselini had declared this to be a victory of justice in wages, and the Law has called Kosovo's historic step.
Wessel has also said that wages will be raised for most workers in the public sector. Meanwhile, opposition parties have estimated that this law, with the failure to vote on the proposed amendments, has been tasked.
