Besarta Jashar has said that her father will always be remembered as one who brought people together for common purposes.
The little dude, who proudly wears your nickname quietly listens to me as I tell him about you. And what would you do for Kosovo under the current circumstances where Dyle is growing? I'm aware that the answer should be looked into our memories, but one thing I'm sure you've believed in our people all your life, our values and our right. From this attitude we never waver, I promise you, Daddy. I'll find the answer, and Dyle will tell”, she wrote.
Bekim Yasar, on the other hand, said that it was his father who taught him human values and love of life.
“You and your brother, who will later be known as the legendary commanders of the Kosovo Liberation Army and its ideologists together, were taught about your generation and the others that will follow for their homeland. You taught me and others how valuable freedom is, how it can be sacrificed for freedom, how much we have to commit to building the country, to the present and future of our children”, he wrote.
Hammez Jashar was killed in March 1998 when he and Adem Yasar and his family were fighting the Serb military forces that then attacked Prekaz. /Periscopi/
