Wesley Clark Serbia: I know it's hard for you, but you should think about NATO membership.

Wesley Clark, the former NATO commander who had led the shelling operation against Serb targets during the Kosovo war, has said Serbia should head towards the West.

He has said that it is also in Serbia's best interests to work for NATO membership.

“I understand it is not easy for Serbia, but it would be in its interest, to turn to the West. Integration in the West would bring Serbia greater economic, political and diplomatic stability.
