The Serbian president the day before stayed in the Albanian capital, Tirana, at the invitation of Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama. Along with Montenegro and Northern Macedonia, they linked the regional co-operation agreement called mini-Sengeni.
This initiative is considered unnecessary by Kosovo Albanian leaders. Rama has received much criticism for this initiative, since Kosovo is not participating, and for the fact that Serbia is still not apologizing for crimes committed in Kosovo and is continuing to deny these crimes.
On the other hand, Vuciqi's statements are only the next provocation, as local authorities and Western NATO member states are assured of peace in Kosovo.
