As has been common in the wake of natural disasters, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has gathered his government at an extraordinary meeting since the morning.
Initially Rama said that in Tirana and Durres it is ready to start the repair process, where there are 12 ready companies in Durres and await authorities' permission.
The executive chief said 60 companies have already been identified, which are being investigated.
“60 firms in Durres are registered by police and related investigations as construction-related companies, 12 are ready, another appeal coming, if they want to wash a part of their soul in the process. The investigation follows. There are 30 people in the criminal police investigation group along with prosecutors who are collecting the documents. There is no evidence hiding all the locations are closed from the point of view of documents, evidence, photography, etc.”, Rama said.
Similarly, the prime minister said the reconstruction programme requires a large workforce and that it is a problem required by hiring persons from abroad as well.
We have a working force problem, take it from outside. It takes thousands of people to get involved in the work. At the 19th session to pass to parliament, which we have prepared since October for the access of the workforce from outside”, Rama said.
