LDK's VV don't keep word of quick reach of agreement, remain hostage to presidential post

Despite earlier warnings that the power-sharing issue will be the smallest problem between these two subjects, that is why it has blocked formalising co-government between the two political subjects, which have won the majority of votes in the last parliamentary elections held on 6 October. Writes the signal paper.
Consequently, the VV and LDK are not taking a statement before their electorate for quick deals despite earlier pledges to formalise the agreement between them, shortly after the CEC's certificate of election results.
The working groups of both parties have already harmonised the governing programme, but leaders of these parties, Albin Kurti and Isa Mustaf, have saws on nails when they reach the position of top head of state.
LDK leader Isa Mustafa requires that, in addition to the position of the prime minister, the post of deputy prime minister and five ministers, they agree with Albin Kurti's party that even the position of the president meets the LDK once the current president's mandate expires, Hashim Thaci, in 2021.
Meanwhile, LVV leader Albin Kurti has initially insisted that only government positions and not the post of president be negotiated on the table, which according to this subject should be apartian.
Both leaders, Kurti and Mustafa, either during the meeting held yesterday reached no agreement. Meanwhile, such meetings have also been warned of the coming days due to the impasse in formalising the agreement as a result of the barricade in their conflicting positions.
Although on paper, the president represents the unity of the people of Kosovo, the 20-year history in Kosovo has testified that the head of state's position represents the symbol of political bargaining among the ruling political parties.
While the LDK is set not to move from position, the LVV has expressed readiness to go to new elections, if coalition negotiations fail.
Meanwhile, the deadline for the institution of new institutions is running. Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has called for December 26th, the constitutional session of the Kosovo Assembly, which preceded the formation of the new Kosovo government.
