Kurti: The date for forming the government assigns me the LDK, not the president

So he said the meeting will happen with Hashim Thaci, but the date of forming the government will be determined after the agreement between the LDK and the VV.

Kurti has called President Thaci's two successive invitations to the consultative meeting for the mandate's appointment of government formation a threat.

“The president of the Republic of Kosovo has set the date of the constitutional session for the seventh legislature on December 26th, we were there and in time consulted by selecting the mayor and five new vice-presidents. The president determines the date of the constitution of the House not forming the government, someone else defines it. I'm the date for forming the government for the LDK not the president. The meeting will happen, but delaying the session for 30 days and then extending two invitations one after one is a jump from one extreme to another”, Kurti said, EO reports.

Among other things, Kurti stressed that they will intensify meetings and talks to reach agreement with the second winning election party.

Until he has given no details of when the next meeting with LDK leader Isa Mustafen will take place.

I'm going to get the mandate already intensifying communication with LDK. We have our attitude and they too. We too want agreements and people need deals. We'll meet as soon as we can meet, he said.
