Krasniqi: Serbia not ready for dialogue, must be punished for genocide policy

National Council of Social Democrat Initiative Chairman Jakup Krasniqi urges the European Union to change its approach to Serbia, as the latter, according to him, has no readiness to reach new agreements and relations with Kosovo. Krasniqi in an interview for Online Economy said Serbia should be punished for politics that [...]

Krasniqi in an interview for Online Economy said Serbia should be punished for the policy it has followed, the genocide policy.

The problem is not Kosovo, the problem is Serbia is with the fanatically defending policies that Serbia has produced in the past, where most of the current officials have been senior officials and they have been genocide policies that have remained unpunished not only from the side of two countries, but have remained unpunished even on the European plain. Serbia's punishment has had to be done over the years for genocide that it has caused in Kosovo, Bosnia and Croatia. It takes another approach by the European Union, perhaps even of Western countries, to force Serbia to change its approach to policies held in relation to Kosovo and Albanians”, Krasniqi has said of Online Economy.

Kosovo's “EC should be clear, I think that not only of Kosovo, the problem of what policy Belgrade was towards Albanians, Bosnia and Croatia, I think it is the policy of genocide and, as such, should be assessed and Serbia should be punished for this policy that has followed it. I think that the first and foremost phase is not only of Albanians, I think it is also the international community that has been exiled because of the genocide that Serbia has exercised in Kosovo”.

Regarding dialogue with Serbia, Krasniqi said conditions must be created for a real dialogue. He does not see the problem resume or not of dialogue, but says a dialogue is needed that produces results and ends Kosovo's conflict with Serbia.

“It is not the problem to start or start dialogue with Serbia. I think that conditions should be created for a real dialogue, for a dialogue that gives results, for a dialogue that concludes Kosovo's conflict with Serbia, a dialogue that creates a stable agreement between these countries and two peoples and opens the prospect of development for one side as well as the other”.

“I can convey the spirit of debate, the statements of Serbia's top state officials and its president, I can say that neither we nor internationals should rush into the question of dialogue or negotiations about the fact that I don't see the political climate that is how many years in Belgrade ready to develop dialogue and conclude a painful story and create a new agreement and relations between Kosovo and Serbia<1>.

And speaking of Special Court invitations, says this Court is “Sui Generis” because in international practice, as he said, there has not happened to be an ethnic prosecution court.

“If something in the world has “Sui Generis” This court is “Sui Generis”, I am saying this in view of the international practice of establishing similar courts, such a court has been made in Rome, but such a court for ethnic prosecution does not know it ever existed in the practice of international justice”, Krasniqi told Online Economy.

Meanwhile, when asked if the court should have interrupted the mandate, Krasniqi says she has had to be rejected in time until the establishment of this Court links it with a string of popular song.

He said the international community had a Tribunal, The Hague Tribunal to pursue the crimes that were committed in the spaces of the former Yugoslavia, and while the international community is convinced that someone committed war crimes then had to guard The Hague Tribunal and there respond to war criminals.
