The 36th Supreme Criminal Court in Istanbul has sentenced him to 8 years and 1 month in prison, Kahraman Demirezin, égylenistin, who was deported from Kosovo in March 2018.
According to Turkish media writers, Demirez has been convicted of participating in an organised terrorist group.
Such a charge, however, has denied Demirez, writes Anadolu Agency.
Demirez was one of six persons who were arrested by the state of Kosovo and deported via Pristina airport in co-operation with Turkish state intelligence.
Istanbul's prosecution had also demanded that Demires be punished for international aid, however, at the session held Thursday he has been acquitted of such an accusation.
The deportation of 6 Turkish citizens has been one of the biggest scandals Kosovo has been involved. As a result, Interior Minister Flamur Sefaj and Kosovo Intelligence Agency chief Driton Gashi had resigned.
