He has named Serbia's president Joseph Goebbels Milosevic's Twitter post. Furthermore, he has called on international authorities to react to efforts to distort the truth, attacks and insults against victims, and actions against reconciliation and normalisation of relations.
Cakaj has compared Vucic to Goebbels in view of the fact that Vucic was Minister of Information Slobodan Milosevic during the war in Kosovo, respectively, from 1998 to 2000. Joseph Goebbels, meanwhile, was Minister of the Parliament of Adolf Hitler from 1933 to 1945.
He has been one of Hitler's close associates and has served to distort the truth and denial of crimes in general. By this comparison, therefore, Cakaj remembers Serbia's fascist past and highlights Vucic's talent in propaganda and manipulation.
Despite these efforts, the January 1999 Recak massacre will never be forgotten, Cakaj concludes.
