The Chancellor ranks first on Forbes' list 2019, as she is followed by the head of the European Central Bank, Christine Lagarde from France, and the list continues with US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Angela Merkel was praised for her stability, for standing in front of US President Donald Trump and for her refugee policy to enter the country amid the immigrant crisis since 2015.
Media and opinionists have named Merkel a leader “the actualo” of the European Union, but also as leader of the free “world”.
