“ ) L'Acrópolisão publishes an interview with Esat Pasha. Asked what you think about the formation of the Albanian state, just months after the announcement was made to Ismail Bey Vlora in Vlora, he replied:
“I think such a state, between Montenegro, Serbia, Bulgaria and Greece, will never be able to live: disobedience is something present among Albanians; they want confusion and theft. How can this people live with such faults, ignorant, without civilization and Muslims? Surrounded by elements of a race and another religion among advanced nations in civilisation and military art, Albania is a small Turkey. When a large Turkey could not live in Europe, how can a small Turkey like Albania resist?
If Austria and Italy continued Esat Pasha, they seek to create an independent Albania, they waste their time, but if they seek to create an Austro-litian province, then these powers will support this small state, but without profit we will look for the Albanian state in the future. /Darsian/
