AAK's elected MP, Donika Kadaj Buyupi, has declared that they would not vote on the Kurti government, if co-government agreement is reached between LVV and LDK.
Cadaj '%Bujupi says it would be task of the LV coalition The V-LDK to secure the necessary votes for Government, but also other issues that follow in decision-making.
“We are in opposition. It is the task of power to secure the majority in the Parliament in order to enable the functioning of the government not only on the day of the new government's vote but also during the mandate. Our opposition agenda will be its supervision and accountability requirements through democratic mechanisms. No, we don't vote because we don't take responsibility for topics that don't belong to”, Caday-Bujupi declared in a short interview for Periscope.
Cadaj-Bujupi, which will be part of the Vld legislature of the Parliament, has said how AAK has not received an invitation from either LVV or LDK to be part of the executive.
We have not received any bids for co-governance from VV or LDK, which have been promoting jointly the future Kosovo government”, Kadaj-Bujupi has declared.
Commenting on the outcome of the October 6th early parliamentary elections, Kadaj-Bujupi said the parties that have made up the ruling coalition (PAN) have brought together more MPs than they had before the 6 October elections, unlike the two former opposition parties that today have fewer MPs together than in 2017.
Our list has marked increased popular support and has enabled dignified parliamentary representation to postpone our pre-election policies and programme, presented in this election process. However, it seems that the Haradinaj government's topics and agendas, as well as the AAK coalition's pre-election programme -- The PSD, they couldn't address enough. On the other hand, there is a tendency to create a wrong impression or subjectives in public opinion. What citizens have been punishing with vote on Haradinaj Government. The new composition of the Parliament testifies that parties that have made up the ruling coalition have brought together more MPs than they had before the 6 October elections, unlike the two former opposition parties that today have fewer MPs together than in 2017. Of course, this does not mean that in different competitions or other coalitions (money) we would have the result today, but should not be overlooked by this aforementioned fact”, Cadaj-Bujupi stated.
Praising the election process in Kosovo on 6 October, Cadaj-Bujupi says the need for deep electoral reform has been noted in these elections.
“First, Kosovo testified that it has institutional capacity and social spirit to organise free and democratic elections. Second, Kosovo is proving it can make power rotation democraticly. On the other hand, it seems that even this election process spread the need for deep electoral reform, which would enable the sovereign will to be implemented quickly and precisely, without deformities from third parties”, it has declared Cadaj-Buypi for Periscope.
