The 54 thousand inhabitants of the Italian city, Brindisi, have been evacuated in order to dismantle the British Air Force bombing dating back to 1941, considered the largest operation during World War II in Italy.
The 200 - pound [200 kg] long bomb has been found during the production and renovation of a cinema in which the driver of the runner was performing the work.
Residents have been evacuated to a perimeter of five miles [1.5 km] from where the bomb was found, while in a radius of 500 meters, all gas devices have been halted.
As the expert teams perform their work, air traffic will be closed in that area, while over a thousand members of security forces and over 250 volunteers are participating in the evacuation operation. /Telegraphy/
