The “anti package-alleged” is expected today to be passed for approval at Albania's Parliament plenary session.
The package has been rejected by media and journalists, who have claimed there is no need for extra laws, but have insisted, that electronic media should apply the principle of self-regulation.
Journalists and activists have announced that they will join today's protest, which will be organised about 30 minutes before the plenary hearings begin in the country.
On the other hand, the Democratic Party has organised several tables on the issue, while the government's move has been described as an act against free speech.
But claims raised by media associations and journalists themselves have received immediately the response of Prime Minister Edi Rama, who has stressed that this package has been compiled with the help of O The SEU, but also by experts from Vienna, Austria.
Also part of the discussions in the Assembly will be the 2020 draft in which the changes will be discussed and adopted, including the fund for reconstruction of residences destroyed by the November 26th earthquake.
