Agim Bahtiri says they don't give the Ministry of Internal Affairs to LDK.

Mitrovica chairman and Vetevendosje Movement member Agim Bahtiri has indicated that the coalition agreement between the VV and the LDK will be reached for joint governance in the four-year term next week.

Bahtiri has said he has talked to LDK deputy chairman Agim Veliu to unlock the stalemate between the two political subjects.

He has now declared that the Ministry of Internal Affairs will meet Vetevendosje.

Monday's meeting between Albin Kurti and Isa Mustaf failed to produce the expected outcome for a coalition between the two parties. The two leaders disagreed over the post of president the LDK is seeking.

VV member Agim Bahtiri told Gazette Express that the coalition will happen anyway.

“Of course the deal will be reached”, he said.

On the other hand, Bahtiri said he met with LDK deputy chairman Agim Veliun, with whom they have talked to stress the situation for the coalition between the two parties to happen.

I met with Agim Veliun and we talked about this issue, and the deal will be reached”, he said.

Kurti and Mustafa in principle have agreed that the government cabinet will consist of 12 ministries, but that there have been differences in the division of ministerial posts.

The second most voted man in recent elections by Vetevendosje Movement Glauk Konjufca, on Television 7 Pressing show, has said that at the last meeting between Kurti and Mustafa, LDK leader has demanded that he elect the first ministry that has accepted the VV leader, but Mustafa has decided on the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which Vetevendosje has repeatedly demanded to have him after having had the electoral promise.

While Bahtiri said the Ministry of Internal Affairs would remain with Vetevendosje Movement.

Mitrovica chairman said that once Albin Kurti returns to Kosovo, talks between him and Isa Mustaf will begin.

The two Mitrovica and Podujevo mayors -- Bahtiri and Veliu -- have been held even earlier, days after the October sixth elections were held.

At the meeting with LDK deputy chairman Bahtiri had both declared that both have tried to make a maximum contribution to reaching the final agreement between the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo.

The two parties have had meetings at the level of working groups for harmonisation of the government programme. According to statements by VV and LDK officials, they have been hired 100% for the way they rule in the next term.

Yesterday Albin Kurti has called on the LDK to sit down to discuss, as the October sixth elections have been a clear signal that citizens have voted Masovically for change.
